It was amazing. It was gorgeous. It was everything I dreamed of. Everything we dreamed of. My dress was beautiful. The weather was great. And the few things that did go wrong (not one is ever perfect), I didn't know about until the next day because I had the best coordinator in the world - Thank you, Arnie Levin. Here is one of my favortie photos.

My bridesmaids - my sisters - were beautiful. I absoloutely loved the way the pearl necklace strands were framed on their backs. Check it out below.

Old - On the morning of my wedding, a friend of the family stopped by the salon and gave me a handkerchief that belonged to her mother. I was missing my something old, and I really wanted a handkerchief. It was the perfect solution.

New - My beautiful dress, which had to be taken in 3 times. Thank you, Brittney Howard, for introducing me to Weight Watchers! Sher said it had enough crinolin in it that I could float across Broadway!

Borrowed - My mom lent me her double-stranded pearls. I also wore them in my engagement protraits.

Blue - My Shoes!!! I desperately wanted (and still do) the Manolo Blahnik Something Blue Shoes worn by Carrie in the SATC movie, but they weren't available for shipping until 10 days after the wedding. I totally would have bought them too. But I found these (actually, Thad found these), and I love them. Such pretty crystal detail across the foot. They were originally supposed to be my reception shoes, but after deciding between 3 pairs of shoes (seriously, I brought 3 pairs of shoes that day), Sher talked me into the blue ones. I'm so glad I went with those.

And what can be said about my precious flower girl, Nora Kate! She's adorable. The Cathdral has a rule that all flower girls/ring bearers must be at least 5 years old. Nora Kate was not quite 2 at the time of the wedding, so her mom graciously agreed to dress her up and have her be our honorary flower girl. She's so sweet.

When I was in Savannah in 2004 with Kate, we were walking along the river shops, and I bought a small white parasol in hopes that one day my flower girl would be able to use it. It was my one Gone With the Wind touch for the wedding. She liked playing with it (though not in this photo).

I guess the last thing to comment on was our cheographed dance. We had so much fun learning our cheography (our instructor made sure we knew that we did not know how to dance but instead had simply learned a routine). We chose a seductive song. Michael Buble - I'm Your Man. It was great. The CD started, and our guests were so loud that we had to restart it. The second time, they were STILL loud, so our counts were off for about the first 16 steps. But we had a blast anyway.

If you didn't have fun, you were at the wrong wedding because it was a BLAST, and I wouldn't change a thing about it.

Engagement Portraits

If anyone is interested, you can see our engagement portraits at
http://www.robertburgephotography.com/index2.php

Then hold the mouse, over MENU
Click on ONLINE PROOFING
Then on ENGAGEMENT AND FAMILY
Just sign the guestbook, and click on THAD and ERIN.

Enjoy! I'm one of those people that think that anyone working in Louisville should have the whole week before Derby off so that they can enjoy all the Derby Week festivities. I don't understand how anyone cannot enjoy Derby Week. Isn't it a national holiday? Ok, anyway, I went to Oaks with my mom, Devon&Brad, John, and Thad. Our seats were in the Turf Club. There were several celebrities that were seated at the tables surrounding us - Bobby Flay, Joey Fatone, Smokey Robinson, Jerry O'Connell, and (my favorite) David Padgett. I was actually most impressed by him. I actually was down for the day after all the tickets were cashed, but I ended up winning my bets for the Woodford Reserve Turf Classic and Derby Race that I had placed for Derby Day. (Poor Eight Belles, by the way. That was tragic. I just wanted to cry).

David Padgett - He's a giant. I mean, look at my hat. It barely comes up to his shoulder. He was very nice.

"Excuse me, Mr. Fatone, could I take a picture with you? I'm a big fan." I couldn't resist. Took my back to my *NSYNC days. Ahh...memories.

But the funniest part was when my mom went up to him and said, "I've bought enough of your damn albums for my kids. The least you can do is take a picture with me." He laughed and took one gladly.

Thad was really excited to take a picture with Bobby Flay from the Food Network. He was actually pretty arrogant. Maybe he was just preoccupied with having his horses run on Oaks Day and Derby Day.

So, I know the dress is a repeat, but isn't the hat perfect!?! I have made a lot of progress, but there is still a lot to do. Decisions to make on each and every detail that will make our wedding special. We're meeting with the coordinator tomorrow and hopefully will make some progress.

School is going well. Getting ready for another test on Monday. Only 4 more school tests to go and then boards and then I'm done. Graduation is coming up the day after Derby (typical UK/Lexington inconveniencing Louisvillians. Not a big Lexington fan). But I'm not officially done with the program until the middle of July. I guess they figure no one wants to come back and walk in December.

Mom broke her ankle last weekend, so I've been taking care of her all week. She's making progress slowly but surely.

Don't know which of my friends read my posts, but I miss them all. And all their kids are cute, by the way. I try to at least look at the pictures of everyone anyway. Here's a recent picture of me at a college friend's wedding last week. Enjoy!

26

Well, tomorrow is my 26th birthday. I talked to my friend Kate when she turned 26, and she said that she would not be celebrating her 26th birthday. But instead she would be celebrating the anniversary of her 25th birthday. I thought for a while that would be a good idea, but then I realized that I will be 26 when I get married. So if turning 26 means I am closer to my wedding, then I am excited about it.

Off to bed...got surgery bright and early tomorrow morning. So I don't usually go for this kind of stuff, but I figure it's worth a shot. Check this out, and if you don't mind to try it out, I'd really appreciate it! By the way: All the stuff below, I copied from another site. The video at the bottom is what sold me on it.

-Erin

http://www.YourFreeiStuff.com/index.php?ref=4417202

Please Take the Time to Read This! I Swear It's Legit!
I was doing a project for school on the legitimacy of those sites that offer you free iPods and such. To my surprise, it actually worked! The best part is, it literally didnt cost me a penny (well, I take that back, it cost me $1.20 to list info on eBay to get my refferals!) All I had to do was sign up for a membership at stamps.com. The site offering the free iphone requests that you remain a member for 21 days, and stamps.com offers you a 28 day FREE trial plus $5.00 in credit, so it cost me nothing to print off the postage required to complete my comitment to the free offer site. I just had to remember to cancel my membership to stamps.com between the 22-28 day time frame. The next thing the free iPhone site required me to do was recruit 8 people to complete 1 offer, just as I had done. Thats it. I was skeptical at first, but you have my word that this actually works! (BTW, if you want to copy the info off of this page and the eBay auction page, please feel free to do so! Just make sure you get your own refferal number entered in! I might not use the above listed material on yours, but feel free to use the info listed below!)

HERES WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW!
Just take 1 minute and read this. This is very EASY to do! It literally takes 10 minutes to setup. Simply follow the steps below. This is 100% real. Here is what you do. Click on the link below, register, pick an account type (referral is the easiest) and complete just 1 offer (Very important that you complete the 1 offer otherwise your account will sit in limbo until you do). This is not like other sites where you need to complete one offer on 2 or 3 different pages!!! And a lot of these offers are FREE trials with nothing else to buy...No committments!!!
There are plenty of cool offers to choose from such as Stamp.com, Netflix, Gamefly which are services you would regularly sign up for anyways and their all secure networks, why not use them to get a free iPhone, iPod Classic, iPod Touch, or cash!
HERES THE TRICK:
#1. When you get to select an offer page. Try to only choose the offers that say CREDIT YOUR ACCOUNT SAME DAY: ALMOST INSTANLY: WITHIN ONE DAY: These offers will credit your account fast and you can get your item fast. Try to go for something you will like to make use of. The offer details you will see right under the offer REQUIREMENTS: move your mouse over this areas and it will tell you the details of the offer.
#2. If you dont care and just want your Free Item, the best route is the STAMPS.COM offer
Because its a 4 week trial =28 days
It won't cost you a penny and you will received credit for it the same day, plus you get $5.00 in free credit.
They will ship your Apple product for free. No Joke, 100% REAL!!! The reason these companies make money, is because most people don't bother getting all the referrals. All you have to do is post it on EBAY! They use US as advertisement by word of mouth which saves them tons of money which goes toward yours and my free gift. These are legit companies such as Blockbuster, Netflix, Gamefly etc... You can copy my listing if you want. You must use your own authentic link though. You will get your own personal link after your order is placed.

Step 1: Click on this link: http://www.YourFreeiStuff.com/index.php?ref=4417202
Step 2: Sign up and chose an account type (Referral is the easiest and best).
Step 3: Complete just 1 offer (like Netflix.com or Stamps.com) and refer 8 people to do the same. Don't say uuuh I don't want to do that cause the same way you just looked at my eBay ad, someone will do the same to yours!
Step 4: iPhone or iPod FOR FREE!!!!!!!!!!(Even The Shipping Is Free !!!)

If you still don't believe me check out this video!! It has actual news footage about this program.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4h0cWB_iVdM

Still Sick

Well, I've been sick off and on for about 3 weeks now, and I can only attribute the various viruses that I seem to be keeping to my Peds rotation. I haven't done much of anything for the past 3 weekends and am starting to become very bored. I've only got about 2 weeks left there, so I hope that my immune system will hold up and keep me from picking up anything else.

Since I was sick, I unfortunately did not have a very good Thanksgiving. I couldn't keep anything down. And I didn't get to go and see Thad's family in Bardstown at all. Here's our Thanksgiving in Louisville.

Hopefully, I will be well for Christmas and Christmas break. I get about 2 weeks off and am looking forward to seeing friends and fmaily over the break. My break starts Dec 17, so give me a call or shoot me an email if you wanna get together. I start Surgery on Jan 2, and I'll be pretty busy for about 2 months.

The Beginning

Well, I finally gacve in and decidied to start blogging. I'm hoping it will be a good thing. I have enjoyed reading my friend's blogs since I don't get to see them that often since I am so busy on rotations. It's a good way to keep up with what is going on esp since everyone seems to have a growing family.
I am on my Peds rotation right now at Dr. Hinkebein's office on Shelbyville Rd. So if anyone takes their kids there, look for me in the next 3 weeks. I completed week 1 today. It is a very busy practice and they keep me moving.
Thad's sister, Tiffany, got married this past weekend. It was a beautiful wedding and about 95% of the day went smoothly. Thad and I were both in the wedding. So now that Devon and Tiffany are both married, I feel like I can move along with my own wedding plans guilt-free. I've taken a long break (since April) and am ready to get going again.
